A colleague referred a client for x-rays the other day. And when he turned up for his appointment he was told by the radiographer that my colleague ‘was not a real doctor anyway’. It’s disappointing to see this attitude still exists. Isn’t it a shame when this perception prevents medicine and complementary medicine from working together to give people the best possibility for healing and recovery?
Television’s #1 daytime host, Dr. Phil, for the first time ever, featured not one but two chiropractors on an upcoming Dr. Phil Show on Thursday March 14, 2012. And Dr. Phil didn’t just host a show with a chiropractor, he openly endorsed chiropractic for lifetime wellness care, not back pain which wasn’t even mentioned.
Dr. Phil shared that chiropractic has helped him and his wife mentally, physically and spiritually.
I didn’t adjust someone yesterday. John* age 2 had a fever (at home was measured at 38.8 degrees by an ear thermometer), and I am pretty sure a sore ear. He didn’t tell me in words, but when you actually watch someone they will often tell you what is troubling them. Not in words, but clearly in some distress and a tendency to rub and hold his ear. You don’t need to be Einstein. Of course when people get older they can tell you in words, or at least what symptom they are experiencing.
